This afternoon, Victory Club members visited 10 Corso Como, the New York outpost of Carla Sozzani’s Milanese concept store that brings together the visual arts, culinary arts, and fashion in the South Street Seaport. The visit began with a tour of Steve Hiett’s photographs.
Ali Price, the gallery manager at 10 Corso Como, explained Hiett’s legacy within the fashion world, the differences between editorial photography and fine art photography, and the history of 10 Corso Como with Steve Hiett.
“Whether I take them in Paris or Miami, my photographs are middle-class stories of the suburbs; they’re about being alone and dreaming,” Hietts said. The works in his exhibition, “Beyond Blond,” show exactly that.
After the gallery tour, Victory Club members enjoyed a meal in 10 Corso Como’s restaurant, which Food & Wine called “The Most Italian Restaurant in NYC.”
From the cacio e pepe to the tiramisú, a good time was shared by all.
